Through a human-centered design process, Community Planning provides a blueprint for cities, towns and neighborhoods for years to come. We work collaboratively with leaders, citizens, and other professionals to translate a collective vision into plans of various scales. Our design approach integrates the urban fabric with the natural environment to foster the development of livable and sustainable communities.

We believe landscape architecture is the attempt to better mediate mankind with nature. Our home in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia provides a unique laboratory for creative solutions. Our work ranges from multi-state environmental projects to local pocket parks. We focus on designing context-sensitive places, for working, playing, and relaxing.

Whether new construction or adaptive reuse, we work with our clients to realize their vision from initial concept to completion. Our ability to work within budgets and engage the public enables us to revitalize communities effectively. We are creative leaders working with public, private, and nonprofit clients to promote sustainable environments.

We provide our clients with preservation planning services including National Register of Historic Places nominations, tax credit applications, Section 106 review, historic district surveys and design guidelines.
