Fire Station #1

Intent: Restoration of the cupola and the street façade of Roanoke's historic Fire Station No. 1. Hill Studio initially teamed with Mark Clark of Southwest Restoration to evaluate the condition of the cupola and the façade. Hill Studio developed Construction Documents for the work using photo-documentation to delineate the work. Hill Studio worked together with Mr. Clark, who was acting as Project Manager for the City, in the interviewing and hiring of subcontractors for the Work selected through a competitive bidding process. Hill Studio provided Construction Administration services through the restoration process.
